Theodor, then 3, was diagnosed with a brain tumor, underwent multiple surgeries in Norway and had a 50-50 chance of survival, his father said. Doctors recommended treatment 4,500 miles away at the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute, which uses a targeted form of radiation therapy. Now the family, and a thriving 8-year-old Theodor, is playing tourist in Florida.
